Accredited Fabricator
We are aware that there has been a lot of media coverage of engineered stone lately and the risk of silicosis if it’s not processed and fabricated correctly.
The health and safety of our staff/fabricators is paramount and we would like to reassure you that they are educated in best practice fabrication. We have put appropriate controls in place to reduce the exposure to silica dust and have taken part in the RCS (Respirable Crystalline Silica) Accreditation Programme for Engineered Stone Fabricators, which we received Gold Standard (the highest level). This means that we are an Accredited Fabricator and meet all core requirements of the Good Practice Guide as set out in the audit.
Engineered stone is safe and it is only during processing and fabrication that silica dust can be produced. The finished and installed product is entirely safe.
